Ken Wilson will lead an adventure ride on Saturday May 6th. Meet at the trailhead in Weatherford at 9:30am. The distance will be around 29 miles, cruising speed to be about 15mph. It is a crushed limestone rail trail that runs from Weatherford to Mineral Wells. Wider tires are recommended - mountain or cross bike is ideal, although Sharon and Ken will probably do the ride on their tandem. There is a fee for using the state park trail and bring plenty of water. He suggested everyone bring a sack lunch for Mineral Wells State Park. There is also an amazing botanical garden on the Mineral Wells end of the trail and if there is interest we could tour that as well (for an additional fee). It's definitely something different and fun. He has done this ride in the past and had a great time.
