Description:
Airport Fast Ride -- ~20mph average for the Airport Ride, with a few extra miles thrown in. Please look for separate group, departing before regular airport ride.

Level: 3-4
Drops: Probable
Maps: See http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/flyinglazboy/SFR_Pg1.jpg and http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/flyinglazboy/SFR_pg2.jpg
Departure Time — 7:50 a.m.
Distance — 62 approximate
Breaks — 2 (both at the Shell station)
Description — The "Summer Fast Ride" rider can expect a
friendly and social 60-plus-mile recreational ride -- much
like the "Airport Ride" -- but a little longer and faster. One
should feel comfortable riding close to others as the group, as we
might work in a rotation at tempo. Average speed from
Preston/Forest to the Shell station will be between 18-21
mph. Average speed from the Shell station around the airport to the control
tower and around will be above 21 mph. Please feel free to
join this ride at the start or at the Shell station... Rest
assured, the "regular Airport Ride" is a few minutes back to sweep
anyone who gets dropped. Please introduce yourself if you
are new to this ride.

Contact: Brad Bedell, Heath Lambert, Mark Brightenberg
Description:
DFW Airport Ride:
1.) Start at Preston/Forest southwest corner parking lot
2.) 54 miles (approximate)
3.) Back between noon and 1PM.
4.) 2 Rest Stops.
5.) 16-17mph average at end of ride.
6.) Ride will typically have a leader. Leader is obligated to maintain disciplines of the ride. If no leader the group will have the obligation to maintain the disciplines of the ride.
7.) Ride will be no-drop, within reason. Riders need to be self-sufficient by bringing tire gear, water, cell phones, etc., if needed. We will stop for mechanicals, if possible.

The ride goes out through Las Colinas, around DFW Airport, and back. There will be some variations in route or start time posted occasionally so check the website discussion forum before ride time. Normal distance 50-54 miles -- There are optional turn-arounds for about 35 miles for those interested in a shorter ride. If you are new to the ride, introduce yourself around! Contact Mike Eipper, meipper1@airmail.net, or 972-404-8480.
